-My fucking god... what the hell is this?? Take an incredibly under-produced and crap CRAMPS and mix that with the decomposing corpse of an incredibly under-produced and crap Johnny Cash and request the out come to be worse than either party could ever imagine and you’ll be close to this putrefying horror-Punk-country turd. For the record, HAUNTED GEORGE used to be in THE BEGUILED and NECESSARY EVIL. These 14 tracks (+ a Roki Erickson cover) represent the best stuff George has recorded since his move to the Mojave Desert. All I can say is... it’s a shame the snakes didn’t get him first.

YOUR FLESH (HAUNTED GEORGE- 'Bone Hauler' CD, Dead Beat)
-So, Steve Pallow decides to wander out into Fuck-all-ville after killing off the tasty Necessary Evils and then recording what it has done to his mind. Well, pretty much. His venture into the “one man band” territory is reminiscent of Bob Log at times, but a whole lot less peppy. Shambling, plucky guitar hit with lots of echo and fog, themes of doom and death and an overall feeling of bones being bleached in the desert sun. Gets a bit weary after a whole slab of this, but I like his dedication to be as depressing as possible—it’s commendable.
