Long standing Munich hell raisin hip shakers THE LUCKY PUNCH have become
quite a staple in the international underground rock'n'roll/punk rock
scene in the past few years. After self releasing 3 CD EPs, this ragged
4 piece are about to unleash their most fierce, polished recorded effort
to date. THE LUCKY PUNCHs- Kick Up A Hullabaloo contains 12 BRAND NEW
songs (13 on the vinyl-o-fonically superior) of thunderous treble blarin,
soul sanctifying rock n roll. They pepper their '70s pre-punk noise with
some screaming guitars and amped-up power chords taken straight from the
loudest bands of the 1970s. They mix a classic Hard Rock sound with the
desperation and energy of a contemporary Detroit band. Throw in a dash
of country, a smidge of harmonica playin and smadge of keys; And youre
on the right track of this absolutely powerful, monolithic debut.
THE LUCKY PUNCH have done incredibly well for themselves mainly as a result
of the their devoted fan base that they acquired on their torid touring
past. They have blazed quite a trail across Germany opening for great
bands like Motorhead, the Backyard Babies, Monster Magnet, The Hives,
Sewegrooves, Hellacopers and have toured across europe with the Flaming
Sideburns and Puffball; its safe to say THE LUCKY PUNCH are no strangers
to the road. Theyve played numerous opening/headling club slots with other
notable bands like the Peepshows, Cellophane Suckers, Psychopunch, New
Bomb Turks, and Adam West, and have been invited to play an assortment
of european rock/metal concert festivals as well. A pretty impressive
roster for any band.
Amazingly enough, in the past, the THE LUCKY PUNCH have toured solely
supporting their self released 5 - 7 song CD EPs that the band has had
for sale only at their shows. Thus, THE LUCKY PUNCH and their devoted
fans have been eagerly waiting for Kick Up A Hullabaloosrelease. Not simply
because it contains an entire albums worth of rock solid unreleased material.
